Today was my last day of work experience for teamforce paintballing, it was a good day and i worked hard. it was the first day that there was a game taking place, i learned what it’s like to be a marshal and get everything ready for the 3 games we had.
I shadowed Alex and Christian who taught me what i had to do to marshal and how to deal with customers on a game day. It was funny to watch the people playing paintball and seeing their reactions to getting shot.
After the customers left i had to get down to the real work cleaning the goggles, cleaning pots and hoppers and bagging overalls it wasn’t that it was hard work, it was just time consuming but it was a laugh being out with the boys.
I’ve really enjoyed my week here and I’m glad that i choose to come to teamforce it was great fun and I’ve learned a lot about business, customer service and most of all Paintballing.
Thanks to all the staff that looked after me and I’m hoping to come back for a game soon.

Yesterday me and Peter got everything ready for the game day today, we put equipment where it needed to be, cleaned the toilets and I also fill paint pots with paintballs.
These don’t seem like the funnest things to do but they were actually fun to do. Cleaning the toilets seems like a bad job but it’s fun when you do it with a pressure washer and filling paint pots seems a bit mundane but that’s not too bad when you do it with a machine and some music on.
I was always doing something so the day flew by and I’m pretty sure everything is ready for today so we did ok.

Yesterday i went down the Liberty stadium to set up our paintball target range at the fair with Peter, Craig and Tim. It didn’t take long to set up as we had done some of the harder work the night before.
When we’d finished getting it ready me and Tim popped up to Rossi’s for some chips and a burger. Peter had already left us at this point to go McDonald’s and was bragging about it for half an hour.
When the fair opened there wasn’t that many customers because it was the first day and most people would still be at work, but we had a few kids and trigger-happy dads though. Most of our work was giving out leaflets to people and that wasn’t too hard but some people weren’t very happy about it and looked a bit offended when i tried to give it too them.
It was my slowest day so far but i learned a bit about customer service and i taught some people to use the guns.

Yesterday I did loads of work, i know a paintball helmet inside out, I’ve cleaned them, fixed them and put them on the tables to dry. After I finished that I cleaned hoppers and battlepacks with the pressure washer and while i was there i gave my shoes a rinse as well. When I finished all of this i had my lunch and relaxed for a bit.
When my lunch break was over it was back to work, me and Peter packed the car with all the stuff we needed which all seemed to way a tonne and went to the liberty stadium to set up the fun fair it’s a blow up paintball target range and looked really good.
It was hard work but good fun.

Today i learn about loads of different stuff at teamforce like where I’ve got to go to if there’s a fire, how to clean a gun and what to do if I’m harassed in anyway. The main thing I learned today was about marketing and how to pull customers to a business with things like the website which looked really good and has all the information you really need to know to start paintballing at teamforce. Simon and Peter are friendly and welcoming, the day went quickly and i learned a lot about business and paintballing it’s self.
I’m looking forward to the rest of the week and the Liberty stadium in particular because it sounds like a good day out and I’m going to learn some more about marketing the business. I’ve also helped by uploading a video onto the teamforce bebo and uploading some pictures as well.
All in all a good first day.

I have been working on our website this week and sending lots of information to our web designer who does a great job for us. The only problem is that I have to keep on writing new stuff for him and that is not always as easy as it sounds. He keeps telling me i have to include certain key words and phrases to help increase our Google ranking so we can get more hits on our website, which will ultimately give us more customers.
So, I had better stop writing here and get on with some real work for the website or he will be on my case again asking for more info……….sorry Mr Web Designer!
